1 hour seminar per week Recommended Preparation: Two years of work experience as a dental assistant or acceptance into the Certificate of Achievement in Dental Assisting Program or satisfactory completion of the Certificate of Competence in Dental Assisting Program. Eligibility to take the Dental Assisting National Board Certified Dental Assistant examination is allowed only after successful completion of a CODA accredited dental assisting program or at least 3350 hours of work experience. Comment: DENT majors must take DENT 210 for a letter grade because it is a required course for the the Certificate of Achievement in Dental Assisting program. Non-majors may take the course credit/no credit. DENT 210 may be audited. DENT 210 is offered in the Spring semester only.
